The Mission

The purpose of this section is to expose the expectations we have of your institution, to maximize the lives you might save, as well as ensure your own safety. We therefore ask for your assistance during this catastrophe in order to rescue the people of Salt Lake City, as well as continuously support those survivors and refugees in need. This section provides our expectations of your institution, in order to optimally rescue the citizens of Salt Lake City.

SUPPLIES

Your most critical duty is to provide medical aid to those survivors who need it. To do so, you will require a great abundance of supplies; which you do not currently have. As you may well know, the South Main Health Clinic is at the center of a sea of medical institutions. We ask that you might traverse the private facilities to scout for any supplies that might, in any way, prove useful. Any discovered supplies should be collected to supplement your current inventory, as medical supplies will soon prove scarce during this outbreak.

PERSONELL

While scourging these nearby medical facilities for supplies, we ask that you pursue any personnel that might have inhabited these institutions. If any personnel are found, we ask that you might recruit any willing soul who might provide medical expertise, and wish to ensure the lives of their loved ones, beside the people of Salt Lake City. Any available medical expertise will be crucial in ensuring the survival of refugees.

MEDICAL SUPPORT

We ask that, as an institution, you provide medical aid to any survivors that might require it. We anticipate that the South Main Health Clinic will be responsible for any and all medical aid in this catastrophe, and hope that you might do all that is within your power to save the lives of the citizens of Salt Lake City. Assuming you follow the provided guidelines thus far, you will likely have abundant supplies and personnel; but use these sparingly, as they will prove scarce further down the road.

TEMPORARY STRONGHOLD

The South Main Health Clinic is, although very defendable, not very large. We anticipate the South Main Health Clinic to be responsible for all medical aid; and this disaster surely provide countless medical refugees. The current building housing the South Main Health Clinic won’t be nearly large enough to house all of its anticipated personnel and patients. We would have your institution relocate; but not immediately. This first stage of the outbreak will prove extremely chaotic and hectic, so we ask that you fortify your current housing, as described in the Execution section, whilst you gather supplies and personnel.

REDIRECTION

As mentioned, we would have you relocate. As you likely know, your institution is neighboring the Meadowbrook campus. This campus is very defendable and quite large. It will provide the necessary space for any refugees, while still proving a safe and defendable location. We would have you wait for the initial commotion to dissipate before attempting such a large-scale relocation, which will certainly require an impressive amount of stealth and care. It is vital that you don’t wait too long, however, for it is imperative that you arrive soon enough for survivors to seek you out. We are unsure of the quantity of infected you will encounter, but we would have you leave as soon as you deem it safe; where few infected are scouted, but before all refugees will have fled.

COMMUNICATION

Communication will be vital during this calamity, both with possible refuges, as well as fellow survivors who might have established similar strongholds. Communication with survivors will be crucial in alerting refugees of your location and assistance you can provide. Radio communication will likely prove to be the most abundant and reliable form. Radio towers, however, might be overrun, and therefore a secondary plan needs construction.

Anticipating the fact that standard forms of communication will be difficult to utilize after electricity goes down, so above we have included a key for Semaphore communication.

If radio towers and cell phone towers are made unavailable, Student Life and Leadership center at Salt Lake Community College has devised a plan to keep communication active, and will be heavily relied upon throughout this catastrophe.

PERMANENT STRONGHOLD

As mentioned, we would have you relocate to Meadowbrook Campus, which will become your permanent stronghold. Similarly to your previous stronghold, we would have you fortify the buildings, as well as the streets, which can also be augmented to secure safety. We expect an abundance of abandoned vehicles, including those provided by the Meadowbrook Campus for trucking students. You should align these vehicles properly to serve as a funnel for the infected, to direct them away from your fortification, as described in the Execution section. The Meadowbrook Campus will serve as your home for the remainder of this necrotic war, and will prove safe for its inhabitants and refugees.
