For Time and All Eternity

Kenia Jimena Maldonado Flores and I, Maxwell Clark Webb, were married on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 at about 3:30 PM. We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple, and thus the adventure began.

But actually, it started February 18, 2017 at about 9:30 AM at a Denny's in Provo.
Wait, no, sorry, it started here:

A little app called "Mutual", or "Mormon Tinder" (except we're not going by "Mormons" anymore; we have always been "Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints"). If you're unfamiliar with online dating, especially the Millennial editions, you're basically judging dozens of books by their covers by swiping up or right if you like them, left or down if you don't.
In the case of this app, when you and the person you are currently evaluating both swipe up, a little page pops up that says, "It's Mutual!", and lets you start communicating with your potential eternal companion.
I initially downloaded it as a joke, because my friend Joe had it and I thought it was a little silly (there's a place in your bio where you can put where you served your mission!), and I later found out that Kenia got the app for free meals (a date's a date!).
So we come to about a week before February 18, 2017. We matched, I asked her out, and since she already had dinner plans for Friday and Saturday nights, she suggested I take her out for breakfast. So we went to Dennys.
We had an incredible conversation, I asked her out again when we finished our pancakes (I still have that receipt!), I asked her out again after we saw Split, then again after we made Mexican food at her house, and I have asked her out just about every week for the last year-and-a-half.
This is how our marriage started, and while we aren't experts, and we have no idea how our life will turn out, we have managed to mostly overcome our differences and be happy in spite of them, and we want to share our experiences with everyone who is interested. We'll be updating the blog weekly and explaining what we do to mix our cultures. Read more about us in our bios on the main page!
